Well, my dear Malloo dropped a STRONG OBVIOUS “hint” that I needed to post! SO – Here I am!

Tonight finds me at my darling sister’s house. Here I sit with my laptop (formally known as “Daisy the Dell”), a humongous cup of coffee (yes, its decaf), a bag of Chips Ahoy cookies, a movie, and my dear sister (and soon-to-join-us “Little O” – my niece).

Chris isn’t here – yet. He went on a flood relief deployment with ALERT, but returns tonight! YAY!

Yes…Life is GOOD! My Lord is faithful beyond words. It is unfathomable how complete His love and mercy is. Reminds me of a conversation I had with a dear friend once…It went like this….

“Can you imagine how much God loves us? I can’t, but I think it would be fun to try. I bet I would be so blown away at just trying that I’d fall asleep exhausted and wake up delighted.”

And it never stops…every morning, every night, all day through, and even while I sleep. What an AWESOME God we serve!

SO… my parents are here in Big Sandy. WHoo hOO!!! Tis MARVELOUS and WONDERFUL! And just so everyone knows…There is no coffee in the world like my mother’s.

Question: Is it the coffee that’s so good? Or the fact that my mother made it?

Really – I think its the coffee. Or…well…a little bit of both :) :)

Here’s pic of us gals!!! I love family :)

“If you abandon to Jesus, and come when He says ‘Come,’ He will continue to say ‘Come’ through you; you will go out into life reproducing the echo of Christ’s ‘Come.’ That is the result in every soul who has abandoned and come to Jesus.”

The Starbucks in Longview (the one by Target) :)

Danae, Cassia, Bristol, and I went out today…Our last stop was Starbucks.

Earlier, I had purchased at Walmart a very plain yet practical clear glass container to serve as pencil holder for my office desk. When I arrived at Starbucks, I was struck with inspiration upon seeing a mug at the counter, filled with whole coffee beans which supported an assortment of handy-dandy ink pens.

The idea was PERFECT for the office. But alas, I have no whole coffee beans. SO, once again, inspiration struck!

I decided to take a long shot and asked the gal behind the counter if, by any chance, they had any older, stale, whole coffee beans lying around that I could have. I let her know that I too knew that mine was a rather random question, and that I’d like to try out their pen holder for myself. :)

A bit taken back by my unexpected question (and with a line of non-question-asking customers behind me), she thought, pondered, then informed me that she didn’t think they had any. :( (WHAT?? They don’t collect stale coffee beans??? ;) ) She turned to another gal (I believe t’was a manager) and asked her my question.

At some point, I was informed that “yes, indeed” this was a random question.

The manager gal said that “no” – they didn’t have any beans to share with me. BUT then inspiration and kindness struck HER!

She was like “We don’t have any – but you can have OURS.”

Bless her heart, she got me a little bag and filled it with the coffee beans out of THEIR mug!!!!!!! So sweet!

So now, I have my free, whole coffee beans to put on my desk. My random question was answered beyond satisfactorily. And I hope the customers in line behind me weren’t too perturbed by me – the random-question-asking customer.

Speaking of random questions…this concludes a random post. :D
