On Monday morning, Catherine went out and purchased a swimming pool for Savannah and Caleb to enjoy! They had great fun playing in the water as you can see in these pictures :) Israel had a great time exercising with PawPaw!!! and Nana, Sarah, and Catherine enjoyed the cool, sunny Louisiana morning!

Our first whole day in Louisiana was also a FULL one! Saturday alot of the Perkins side of our family gathered at my uncle’s property for a day of food, fun, and catchin’ up! It was a great day!

And so Catherine and I are in South Louisiana with Israel, Savannah, and Caleb staying with my parents for about a week. Did you notice that Greg and Chris are not in that group of names? Tis true and very sad. Both of our husbands were sent to Nashville and so we are slightly spread out :) . The guys headed to Tennessee and us gals visiting LA. True, they are doing what the Lord has called them to do – and doing a GREAT job – and Catherine and I and the children are having a super time. But…..well….. let’s just say that little Israel, though he cannot yet speak, has most effectively expressed what it feels like to have the guys and us in two different states…..

For those of you who’ve spent time with Greg, you know that he is an AMAZING storyteller! His stories of growing up and life as a police officer and firefighter and as a hunter can keep a crowd’s attention! they’ve captured the attention and interest of many nieces, nephews, students, and friends. Our Israel is one blessed little man to have such a great storyteller as Daddy. He loves his Daddy’s stories! See?? ………. :) :) :)
