Words can get us in trouble, and sometimes be hard to put together, and sometimes they don’t communicate enough. But WOW…They sure do come in handy :-)

I have been back home in lovely South Louisiana this weekend. You know, I love this place…The grand oak trees draped with Spanish Moss, fields that stretch out flat and far, little towns along the way with French names (Ville Platte, Grand Coteau, Boutte, Breaux Bridge…). The fact that in every other state, everyone else in the country lives in counties – but here we live in parishes. Yes…I love calling South Louisiana “home”.

We had a family reunion on Saturday – and were all treated to a crawfish boil at my uncle’s home. It’s gonna be a new family tradition. :) I brought my camera and documented the occasion for y’all. But alas, I have left my camera cord in Big Sandy. SO – you’ll have to enjoy the delight of “anticipation” for awhile :) I know y’all are “chomping at the bit” for that post ;)

Tomorrow afternoon, I fly to Nashville for the Children’s Institute at the Regional ATI Conference. That’ll be fun :) Your prayers are GREATLY appreciated. I’m feeling pretty tuckered out – and haven’t even gotten there yet. One thing I know, the Lord’s grace is sufficient. Father always gives His strength. Now unto Him…

So, my friends, here is my prayer for you…..

May you be found in Christ. May He be your best thought. May you delight to do His will. May you know, Know, KNOW and trust in the very depths of your heart that He is FAITHFUL and SOVEREIGN and GOOD – even when things seem crazy, or lonely, or when you don’t see how things will turn out. May you KNOW and REST.

And when all is said and done, when you lay your head down to sleep tonight, and when you stand before Him in glory, may His words be “Well done.”

Live for eternity my friends. We are just passing through this place – yet it matters so much. Remember, God never asks anything of us that He doesn’t give us SO MUCH more in return.

Love y’all!

OK – how about a quickie “month in review” :-)

– Moved to Big Sandy, TX to work in the Camps and Conferences Dept. at the International ALERT Academy. How long will I be here, you ask? Well…I dunno – I am either a nomad, a temporary Texan, or here til the creek rises. We’ll see :)

– Was in TX for only 2 weeks when I headed to Arkansas (by way of home) for a glorious week with dear friends and family in Eureka Springs, Ark.

– After Ark. (the night I got back to LA actually), I headed to the home of friends (just a couple of miles from our house) to babysit for 6 sweet children whose parents were away for a few days.

– Came back to Big Sandy for the Children’s Institute at the Regional ATI Conference. We actually used the newly written “Masterwork of God” curriculum! Whooooo Hoooo – We serve an AWESOME God Who truly does work miracles.

– I was on the phone the other night catching up with Nikolai who just got home from Romania (WELCOME HOME, NIKO!) When I told Nik that I’ve started working for the ALERT Academy, he LAUGHED. Hmmmm…

– Have done some painting at Cat and Chris’s – we are sure looking forward to the arrival of “Little O”. I AM GOING TO BE AN AUNT!!!! WHoo HOoo!

– Am headed home in a week and half for a family crawfish boil :) and from there to Nashville for the CI at the ATI conference. From Nashville, I fly back to LA and then head back here – to the lovely metropolis of Big Sandy, TX. :)

– Oh! And on Saturday I am planning on going to a rodeo! Cool stuff! I’ll have to take pics :)

– Oh – and I miss all of you. Seeing your faces in different places brings back memories and makes my heart glad…I just wish I could see you all more often!

THERE! I have officially…..

May 12

Well, I have this ITCH to post. It has been quite a while, I know. Been interesting with working all day, being sleepy or busy in the evenings, or not being set up with internet at my house [which is resolved as of this afternoon – YAY :) ]. Anyways….

There are a MILLION things I could say. I’d LOVE to post pictures of the last month [SO much has been going on], or write a long letter to encourage your hearts in the Lord [from one friend to another], or share with you what the Lord has been teaching me [He is so faithful to draw us to Himself].

For tonight though, I guess I’ll just say that…well….

God is good. His mercies are new every morning. He shows His love in the sweetest, most tender ways.

I hope our paths cross again soon, my dear family, friends, and readers! Until then…keep in touch. Trust JESUS. Love JESUS. Abide in JESUS. May our Lord be your Home.

Sarah
