Its not every day – or should I say every YEAR – that you can capture a picture of 3 cousins all together and their ages line up so “numerically” and shall I add “sweetly”. :) >insert happy sigh<

Without much ado, here are Israel, Caleb, and Savannah at ages 1, 2, and 3. Quite the challenge to get everyone looking at the same time! :-D But I guess that’s all part of the delight of BEING 1, 2, and 3 all together! :)

At this age, it’s the THOUGHT THAT COUNTS!!!! I love it! And we all love these little ones!

……. and he and his parents are VERY excited about it!!!!! Here goes….

Yep! Israel is a big brother! Our baby girl is about 22 weeks along and due to arrive in September! We are all delighted! The Lord has shown Himself good, Good, GOOD. We are amazed!

So this morning I was out sweeping the deck – making it a safer, cleaner place for baby. I expected Israel to crawl out the door and follow me onto the deck – but he didn’t. I rounded the back door and there was Israel sucking on a dog bone! I took it away and scooped him up……. and then decided I needed a picture first :) :) So gave the bone back and sat him back in his spot :) :) :)

It’s like Nehemiah – Cup-bearer to the King…. EXCEPT….

Snow day!

Woke up yesterday morning to a yard full of snow! By the time it stopped we had about 3-4 inches of white wonder! Israel loved looking out the front window :)

Then this afternoon, Greg pulled Israel and I on a sled behind his 4-wheeler, then I (Sarah) pulled Greg and Israel. Fun stuff! Israel LOVED it!

Then GREG had a GREAT idea and got a BOAT – yes, I said a BOAT – to pull us in
! He tied it to the 4-wheeler and off we went!

What fun it was when Aunt Catherine, Uncle Chris, Savannie, and Caleb came over! Uncle Chris even took the children for rides on his 3-wheeler and did DONUTS in the snow!!!

God is GOOD! A successful hunt!

For those who hunt in “target rich environments”, finding and harvesting venison for the freezer can be much easier than it is for those in areas where deer aren’t as plentiful or aren’t managed for growth and number.

This said, I [Sarah] am so blessed by my husband’s faithfulness and diligence in going out each year and scouting for good hunting ground and then going out time and time again – sometimes sitting in a tree stand for hours (and it can get COLD!) and seeing nothing to bring home. I so appreciate his heart to provide for his family and to fill our freezer with quality meat!!! God has blessed me with a man after his own heart!!!

I love Greg’s hunting stories (as do others!!!) – he’s a GREAT story teller and has lots to tell! I also appreciate his view of his time hunting outdoors or sitting in a tree stand. Greg just loves the time with His Lord and in His Word – whether he brings home an animal or not. He loves helping others to find good hunting spots and teaching them to hunt and track and clean deer. I praise the Lord for my husband’s generous heart and love for people and appreciation for God’s creation!

That said, we have been praying for a productive hunting season – for venison in our freezer! And yesterday, God blessed in a GREAT way!!! Praise the Lord!!!!

And the verse Greg was meditating on the morning of this hunt? “And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.”
